WCFD Units (Stations 51,52 and 53) along with Good Fellowship EMS (Station 55) were dispatched around 3:00 pm this afternoon to the 1100 block of Talleyrand Road in Westtown Twp. for a dwelling fire. Chief 53 arrived first to find a large 1 1/2 story dwelling fully involved. Ladder 53 and Engine 52-2 were next to arrive followed shortly afterwards by Engine 51-1. Chief 53 established Talleyrand Command and ordered all companies to operate in the defensive mode. All occupants had previously been accounted for. The working fire dispatch was requested bringing Stations 54 and 56 (Goshen Fire Company), Medic 91 (Chester County Hospital Medics) and the Chester County Fire Marshal's Office (CCFMO). Additional resources from Station 25 (Longwood), Station 5 (East Whiteland), Station 37 (Modena) and Delaware County Station 59 (Concordville) were special called to the scene to assist. Crews operated for several hours in the 90+ degree temperatures. No injuries were reported. Rehab services were provided by Station 55. West Chester Fire Police were also on scene and were assisted by fire police from Stations 54/56 and Delco 11th District. Thanks to all of the companies that covered the WCFD while we operated at this incident. The cause and origin of the fire is being investigated by the CCFMO and the WEGO Regional Police Department.
